File Zilla "public_html" in problems

Hello,

I'm new to site building.
I downloaded File Zilla and I was told to transfer my files (html, php, Css and my images). I put this in "public_html" but there ometv Chatroulette chat avenue were already other files in it. Should I delete them?
in addition, so I put everything in public and when I type the address of my site on the web, I get this:

Index of /
cgi-bin /
images /
indeeeexx.html (c the name of my page that I download)
postinfo.html

Hi

Put your website in public_html

The folder cgi-bin and .well-known can stay there, do not delete them.
.well-known is used for SSL generation.

You do not see your website because you must rename indeeeexx.html to index.html
